Barnstaple is the biggest town in the North of Devon with good transport links to the other towns in the North making it a central hub to the area around it. The town offers visitors excellent shopping with a very good mix of modern shops and independent small shops and a good choice of places for dining out.

Barnstaple is largely unspoilt and has managed to keep its feel as an ancient market town. The town lies on the River Taw and provides some great walks and excellent attractions on its doorstep.
