Pennywell Farm Family Attraction Lots of activities, shows and hands on experiences for all the family at this award winning farm in South Devon. Situated 20 miles from Exeter and Plymouth and 12 miles from Torbay.


Becky Falls Woodland Park - nr Bovey Tracey
Somewhere between Plymouth and Exeter in the Dartmoor National Park you will find Becky Falls Woodland Park. This park caters well for children and is ideal for a family day out. The centre has 50acres of woodland walks of varying difficulty which are colour coded and has an explanation of each difficulty. Proper footwear is advisable for the more advanced walks. And there is also the picturesque Becky falls themselves which is over 70 feet tall. Easier walks are available and suitable for children, including petting zoos and nature shows. The shows have the cute and cuddly variety and more scary animals. There are many amenities including a licensed cafeteria and gift shop. There are also nature competitions for children and picnic areas for the ideal family day out.

Bradworthy Transport Museum - nr Bradworthy
Bradley Transport Museum is located in North Devon and houses antique vehicles and memorabilia dating back to 1914. In this collection of vans, motor bikes and farm equipment you will find over a hundred examples of vehicles from yesteryear. The museum is open all year round and has plenty of free parking.

Cantonteign Falls - nr Exeter
Located in the Dartmoor National Park you will find this picturesque piece of Devon countryside which is home to the Cantonteign Falls. Cantonteign Falls is the tallest waterfalls in England. Set in over 70acres of woodland this is a great place for a family day out in breathtaking scenery. There is also a café, snack bar and a gift shop at the attraction.

Clovelly - nr Bideford
Clovelly is a picturesque village preserved to look like the nineteenth century. This is a unique village as its privately owned. Care are not allowed in the main street and cars are left at the top of the hill at the visitor centre. The road then takes you down a steep path to the harbour passing some sixteenth century cottages. The village has all the usual amenities such as shops, restaurants and two museums with many things to do in this picturesque fishing village.

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - nr Ilfracombe
In North Devon you will find the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur park which is a wildlife park with a very wide range of animals. There is also a marine section and falconry. The park also has theme rides and animatronics dinosaurs. The park also has a café and all the usual facilities and is open from March to November.

Crealy Adventure Park - nr Exeter
Crealy Adventure Park is an indoor and outdoor adventure park located in Devon and there is another in Cornwall. The Park has many adventure rides including karts. As well as many adventure rides there is also a indoor areas for the whole family including ball pits and soft zones.

Exmoor Zoo - nr Barnstaple
Exmoor Zoo is located in North Devon and his home to over two hundred different species and is set in a friendly environment. The Zoo is educational for children of all ages and has tours at regular intervals. The zoo has all the usual amenities and is open most of the year. Exmoor National Park this Zoo provides a fun and educational day out with ever changing animal species arriving.

Go Ape - nr Exeter
For the more active people why not try the new adventure courses set high in the trees known as Go Ape. If you can climb a ladder and you are over ten then you can traverse this course all fourteen metres above the ground in the trees. Go Apes are scattered across the country and this course has a zip wire 230m long. A thrilling forest adventure course set high up in the trees with high wires, rope bridges, Tarzan swings and zip wires.

Kents cavern - Torquay
Kent Cavern is a series of prehistoric interconnecting caves and evidence of Britain's earliest humans from thousands of years ago. There is a guide that will give you a tour around the caves. This tourist attraction offers free parking and has a restaurant and gift shop. There are also organised events such as a ghost night.
