The port of Teignmouth lies at the mouth of the River Teign south of Exeter and is a lively seaside town. The town was one of Devons first seaside resorts its pebbly beach today is backed by lawns and gardens overlooked by Georgian and Victorian villas.
Teignmouth was primarily involved in the export of granite from its port in the estuary until its evolution as a thriving seaside resort.
